GenRacer takes 1st both races at the Glen 2013

This past weekend we were at Watkins Glen with NASA Northeast for their annual "Thunder at the Glen" round. We brought out the World Challenge Genesis Coupe and competed in the Performance Touring "B" Class. Its a class that fits World Challenge TC cars perfectly.

The Genesis performed "ok" during Saturdays race. We some suspension tuning and brake tuning, we got the car to do some decent lap times. The car felt decent around the road course in Watkins Glen, NY but definitely needed some tweaking to get the car to be more stable in braking and turn out. We were still able to come out on top and also post a lap fast enough to reset the track record in PTB.

That saturday night we did some spring changes and made the appropriate dampening settings to help get the rear more planted on turn out. We also made some damper settings to help with our braking. On Sunday we were on pole again for the start of the race. The race ended with us doing another fast lap to reset the track record and a victory in our class.

The next race will be at the end of October at NJMP - Thunderbolt with NASA Northeast for the final event of the season. We hope to have more changes on the car before then to get this car to handle and brake better. Until then.....
